Feedback on Lillian’s Slides

Why are we participating? Slide

- Maybe add “provide patient input into research”

- Maybe add “improve prognosis for youth experiencing psychosis”

- Maybe add “improve access to care”

- Maybe add “make care more consistent across Ontario”

- Maybe add a piece discussing the impact on the family, how there’s a ripple effect on the family and everyone is involved

Slide discussing the role of the FAC

- Include language indicating that the FAC fully collaborates on the project

- If you have any other comments/suggestions please send them to Lillian or Laura

Reviewing the ECHO Curriculum

- Perhaps have a topic on self care for the patient and family that is not patronizing

- Perhaps discuss the messages sent in an acute psychiatric ward, emphasize the focus of hopeful messages

Presentation on Questionnaires by Dr. Kozloff

- Lots of effort is made to provide good Early Psychosis treatment, but 30% of youth drop out

- Not many measures exist that capture the family’s experience when someone is going through treatment

- Hugh commented how sometimes people are not able to access programs, and that sometimes people like some aspects of their services but not all aspects

- Lillian commented that two surveys would be too much

- The committee wanted to know if staff would be able to access results from the form – we will inquire about this at the Steering Committee meeting

- The committee agreed that the first survey should be given 3 months in, then at 9 months, 15 months, 21 months and 26 months

- The committee preferred the OPOC questionnaire, and wondered if it could be translated to French

Annual Project Meeting – Nov. 19th 8:30am-10am

- All FAC members are welcome to join

- We apologize for the confusion with the term SPOR, Laura has sent another email invite to the meeting.
